Just west of Jönköping, close to the airport you could enjoy everything from trail-running, XC-skiing and mountainbiking. This area is well known for hosting races and championships in different disciplines. Hallbystugan hosted the Swedish National XCO Championships in 2014 and since then the tracks as evolved alongside an increase of youngsters getting into MTB. Hallby SOK having up to a 100 kids and youth in training each week.

Hallbystugan have three well-marked tracks, black, blue and green as well as a pump-track. The black trail, about 5 k long, is technical and physically demanding, parts of it was used in the National Championships. The green trail is the easiest and shortest, perfect for biking kids. The blue trail is probably the most fun and will put a smile on your face. Hallby have several built obstacles but also plenty of classic Nordic terrain trail with roots and short ascents.

If you want to keep rolling after a few hours at Hallby, follow Rallarleden (parts used for XCM-race CykelRallarn) that leads to Bottnaryd on an old railroad track. Half way (5k) you will be able to find another MTB-track called Olsbo.
